New Dating App for Cows Lets Farmers Find Suitable Mates for Livestock
Created by United Kingdom-based company SellMyLivestock SML , the app can be used to search through local cattle available for breeding to find the right partner for their animal. But, as far as the makers know, this is the first app ever developed to match livestock, Reuters reports. Tudder makes sure no bovines have to deal with the sting of rejection; every right swipe is a match. And, unlike Tinder, which often has users wondering if a match is a potential boyfriend or a potential serial killer, Tudder leaves nothing to the imagination.
Tudder gets specific with the data, going so far as to provide information about milk yield, protein content and calving potential, Reuters reports, ensuring users have all the information they need before setting up the big date.
Described as blond, muscular and from a good family, Bariton’s online profile has caught the eye of Sylvain Frobert, who is thinking of hooking him up with Anita, or Henriette. He could also be a good match for Desiree. Or maybe even all three? But Frobert is not a matchmaker in the traditional sense. He is a farmer in Saint-Prix in the centre of France raising Charolais cows for meat.
And he needs just the right genetic material to boost his herd. Like many desperately seeking the right partner, the year-old has turned to the Internet, where the website trouverlebontaureau. Farmers like Frobert can log onto what looks very much like a traditional online dating website, to admire the muscular curves of hundred of bulls, as well as an extensive family tree to determine their all-important breeding.
The website was launched in France in October by a group of breeding associations during the country’s Farming Summit. Breeders can input details about their cow such as her age and race, as well as what characteristics they are looking to improve in their herd: milk, growth, muscular development or calving prowess. Once this is done, dozens of profile pictures appear on the screen, and the hardest part is deciding from among the beefy bevy of French-bred bulls. What about Cyrano, a Charolais bull who boasts a “breathtaking body?

United Kingdom farming startup, Hectare Agritech, has created Tudder, a Tinder-style app that helps farmers find breeding matches by viewing pictures of cattle with details of their age, location and owner. When users swipe right to show interest or left to reject a possible match, they hear a mooing sound.
By Jonny Lupsha, News Writer. With Tudder—a portmanteau of Tinder and udder—farmers can swipe left or right on their phone screens as cattle appear on it depending on their interest in the animal. When they find a match, they can proceed to a page on the website SellMyLivestock to learn more about the animal, including its price and availability for an in-person inspection before purchase. However, Case has lain the case for three revolutionary waves of the internet itself.
Case explained that during this time, the world was still so skeptical of the internet that many saw no use for it at all. Once the public was sold on the idea of the internet, its second wave began. When smartphones first released in the mids, they created an entirely separate market of countless apps and mobile purchases. Finally, the third wave of the internet involves the full integration of the internet into our daily lives, Case said.
He emphasized that he meant this internet integration would play a major role in each of these industries. With regards to food, he cited cashless restaurants, order-online grocery stores, and DNA-analyzed dietary plans. For education, Case mentioned students not only learning on tablets, but also on apps that analyze and utilize how each student learns best. Steve Case contributed to this article.
